Statement of Faith
The following statements were approved by our Board of Directors on February 6, 2021. Scripture references and a "Statement of Faith-Expressions" are available on request.
- The Bible: We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, written without error in the original manuscripts. As such, the Bible is our final authority in all matters on which it speaks. We go to the Bible to learn about God, His promises and revealed plans, as well as how we should relate to each other, our neighbors, and our world.
- The Triune God: We believe there is only one God, eternally existing in three equal persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- Sin & Separation: We believe that both men and women were created in the image of God, but all have sinned, and therefore without a personal faith in Jesus Christ, are naturally separated from God, and face an eternal death after judgment before God.
- Jesus Christ: We believe in the perfect deity and humanity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth and sinless life; His death and shed blood for our sins, in His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father; in His present rule as Head of the Church, in His present advocacy for us to the Father, and in His future return to rule over a new heaven and earth.
- Salvation: We believe that salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ alone, and does not depend upon our good works.
- New Birth & the Holy Spirit: We believe that when a person believes in Jesus Christ, their sins are forever forgiven, a new life begins, the Holy Spirit comes to indwell and enable them to begin living a godly life. It is only through His power, that we can please God.
- Spiritual Unity & Equality: We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, equally important to God, regardless of their racial, gender or class differences. As such, we should seek to treat each other in a God-pleasing manner.
- The Church: We believe that the one body of Christ (the Church) is composed of every person, both living and dead, who are joined to Jesus Christ by believing in Him. We are commanded to gather regularly with other believers for worship, instruction, discipline, encouragement and fellowship, as well as celebrating baptism and communion.
- The Great Commission: We believe our role as an organization, is to help fellow believers obey the final command Jesus gave His disciples: to go to all people groups, making disciples, baptizing*, and teaching obedience to all of Christ's commands.
*Since this organization is not organized as a local church, this organization will not perform baptisms, although its staff and volunteers may do so, as members and representatives of their local congregation.
