Board of Directors

John Alexander – Chair

For several years, he was the Houston contact for Teen Mania’s “Acquire the Fire” national conferences, which reached hundreds of Houston-area teens.  Years ago, he co-led the Conroe-based “Eagle’s Nest” youth ministry network.  He’s now helping the Spring/Woodlands Network, and other local networks, connect the youth pastors in Montgomery County.

John has been married to his beautiful bride Johnese for over 47 years.  They have two beautiful daughters, two great son-in-laws, and five wonderful grandchildren.

Dottie Hinesley – Secretary

Dottie serves a dual role as a key staff member and as a board member. She brings 40+ years of staff experience, overlapping ministries with incarcerated youth, public school-based programs, networking youth pastors, leading ‘See You at the Pole’ training for students, and coordinating Baccalaureate programs. She has received training in Crisis Response programs to assist in schools, and is now developing her “Coaching” skills to encourage youth workers.

Her experience in serving through a variety of community-based partnerships, also strengthens our board’s perspectives on developing YSN as a healthy ministry, while we are also freely giving away our talents and resources.

Lu-Dell Diebold – Treasurer

Lu-Dell has many years of experience working with the local church in various capacities including Treasurer, bookkeeper and Bible teacher. She faithfully volunteered with Bible Prayer Fellowship, responding to emails and helping prepare their books for editing. She and her husband also served with the “Yes Lord” ministry, by making and supplying the signs left with the local churches hosting the crusades. For several years, she also taught classes for Texas United for Life.

Professionally, Lu-Dell worked 40+ years with a large international company, both as a software developer and team manager. Our IT projects have benefited from her needed encouragement, along with her technical and leadership skills.

Puzzle-pieces for next board membersNext Board Members?

Our goal is to gradually build our executive board to a diverse group of perhaps nine men and women, that God is preparing to provide oversight and governance.  They will be assisted by advisory committees to represent our nine-counties, various networks, concerns, and school districts.  Our board and committees will bring diverse program interests, multi-community focus, needed technical skills and vocational perspectives. They will come from a variety of church backgrounds.

If you would like information about the responsibilities of our board members, please email John Butler.

Advisory Committees will be recruited to help give local input to the different program areas: Networks, Schools, and Leaders. These committees will also help provide needed coordination of the volunteer teams in each area. These Advisory Committees will probably be defined by counties and school districts, as well as areas of interest and service.
